Statement:

Engine submitted comments to the Department of Homeland Security on its proposed rule to replace the H-1B lottery system with a wage weighted alternative, which would mean roles with higher wages would be more likely to be selected. The letter cautions that this change could disadvantage startups where compensation is often lower than comprable roles at larger, more established firms.
