Statement:

Engine weighed into the U.S. Trade Representative's review of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement with comments highlighting how essential provisions in the Agreement's digital trade chapter are delivering for startups. We encouraged USTR to continue the agreement and not to reopen it, but instead build on its success through new annexes or side letters addressing emerging issues around AI and smoothing treatment of copyright exceptions across the parties.
