New businesses are vital to our country's economic growth, but many policymakers may not know the breadth and depth of startup activity in their districts. The best way to lead? Join us in this nationwide celebration of entrepreneurial communities for Congressional Startup Day as a part of Startup Advocacy Week, which will be held in August 2024.

Each year, we have an enthusiastic, bipartisan group of policymakers who will help lead the week’s festivities. We’re deeply grateful to Rep. French Hill (AR-02) and Rep. Hilary Scholten (MI-03) who served as Co-Chairs for Congressional Startup Day 2023.

Congressional Startup Day, part of Startup Advocacy Week, is an opportunity for senators and representatives to experience the innovation and entrepreneurship taking place among their constituents. Through these discussions, we hope to strengthen the relationship between lawmakers and the hard working entrepreneurs driving our economy. As part of this event, Engine offers members of congress the opportunity to meet with members of the startup ecosystem from their state or district. Our team then goes and identifies companies and startup support organizations with impactful stories for the members to meet with and learn from about this vital community. We have facilitated over 215 meetings between startups and members of Congress as part of Congressional Startup Day since 2018.
